We arrived in the village of Borino just before dark, after a quick stop at a shop and to ask for directions we proceeded to head up into the mountain where we would be staying for the weekend. It began with a well surfaced but very steep road, I was following the Stoicho’s van which was loaded to the max with cavers and their equipment, on my motorcycle. The well surfaced road soon ended and turned into a rough off-road track, it was quiet severe in places and the van took a bit of a beating. Eventually, all in one piece and in good form we arrived at our piece of wilderness where we would be based from for the next couple of days.
